History

The 2016/17 season was Ronald Koeman's first at Everton, ending in a seventh-place finish and Europa League qualification, with Romelu Lukaku scoring 25 league goals. Yannick Bolasie had arrived from Crystal Palace that summer and made a bright start on the wing before suffering a serious knee injury in the Merseyside derby that December, ending his campaign.
