History

Nick Pope played every minute of Burnley's 2019/20 league season and kept 15 clean sheets, the club's best top-flight return since 1955 and enough to earn a place in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year. He went into the final day level with Manchester City's Ederson, but Burnley drew 2-2 with Brighton while City beat Norwich, and the Golden Glove went to Ederson on 16. Sean Dyche had signed him from a relegated Charlton for around £1.5m four years earlier; by the end of this season he was in the England conversation.
